Janee & Randy
This gorgeous wedding took me to Kauai where are all things lush and green make for the most beautiful back drop.
A friend of mine and Kauai wedding photographer had me join her to shoot this wedding. I had so much fun capturing these two. I could really feel the joy their family and friends had about there and really cherishing these two committing their love to each other. It was clear they also knew how to have a really good time.
As soon as the guests saw the waterfall in the valley behind the ceremony site, proper selfies were in order!
This monkey pod tree is a sculpture within itself. Earthy, elegant and simple enough to leave alone for the ceremony.
If I were a Kauai wedding photographer I would have so much fun shooting at all the fabulous beaches there. Love this one we went to, Anini, where Janee & Randy totally rocked these portraits. So classy, cool and full of romance.
Speaking of cool, the reception tent was to me just genius. A combination of couches, dinner tables and bistro tables. It was relaxed and elegant. I loved the green vines with the retro lightbulbs.
Two games were set up for cocktail hour, corn hole and giant sized Jenga. Both were such a hit and the guests were non stop playing with huge smiles on their faces.
Did I mention there was a hurricane on it's way the weekend of the wedding?! Yup, the next day it poured the ENTIRE day. We felt a few sprinkles this evening, but most of all I think Hurricane Ana showed up and made for an sweetly moody overcast day and creamy sunset.
More cool for this Kauai wedding photographer....did you see how the tulle skirt on her dress is removable?! Off it came and Janee was left with the cutest dancing dress!
Janee & Ryan,
Thanks for bringing a whole lot of LA cool over to beautiful Kauai! You two had such sweet family and friends there showing you so much support. I hope you feel that each and every day. May your love stay sweet and fresh.
Aloha,
Ajja
