A Hurricane of Memories Part 2
After a touching ceremony it was on to party time!
Garnish Cocktails brought the most creative and attractive looking drinks and as a Maui wedding photographer who sees it all I really think they are my favorite. Always a smile and fun with those fancy drinks in hand!
A few were still in a sentimental mood, still recovering from those personalized vows. I don't blame them, I love hearing it straight from the couples hearts.
I loved how intimate and rustic this wedding was. I think the fact that the bar, guest book and polaroid station was located all on the patio really lent to this feeling. This back up rain plan was brilliant! Belle Destination is pretty brilliant!
This little pier at Olowalu is a highlight at this venue. You feel like you are in the middle of the ocean and you get to look back at the West Maui mountains. Growing up on here on the island I had never seen this view before I shot here, I guess being a Maui wedding photographer has it's perks!
The waves had some extra power to them because of the hurricanes and these two were all about enjoying the view! This bridal party was non stop for fun, they were all friends outside the wedding and so they really enjoyed each other the whole day long.
After some fun bridal party pictures and romantic shot by the sea it was time to eat!
Look at the style here... lace runner, subtle tones of pink, gold flat ware, personalized menu and wood farm tables. Cozy, rustic, elegant.
Kind of a Maui wedding photographer's dream for me at this wedding, a sweetly in love couple paired with discerning taste for details, matched with talented vendors who made the way for all the joy a big day should have.
Katherine and Ryan,
You laughed in the face of two hurricanes. You made me feel like one of the gang by the end of the day. You touched our hearts with sweet romance. May you have the sweetest of memories made stronger through the images. And may you have good drinks and fun dance parties through all your years! And come back to Maui sans hurricanes!
Aloha,
Ajja
